Description
Hi, I went out for a bit this morning, even though the weather was rotten. Wicked cloudy and cold. I have a snow storm coming in some time tomorrow ,late morning, and this will be "plow-able snow".. they say anywhere from 2 to 6 inches. This will be the first of a long season of winter for me.
meanwhile back to this little Junco. It was feeding on some Sumac buds. I watched this one and a few others for about an hour, and then called it quits...the cold won, and besides I didn't see any other birds.

Sunday should be a good day out there shooting pics...the animals and birds are always super active right after a storm, and I will have clear skies and bright sun to work with.

Lovely winter pic, I can almost feel the cold! It has that distinct pre-snow feel to it too... something about the light I think. It's a specific type of grey clouds that tend to bring snow along. The beautiful junco matches it perfectly with his grey plumage
