Waiting along the Beech ridge wall

Hi, I saw a few deer in the lower section of this Beech grove, so I set up and waited for them to cross over the wall. they usually cross here, but today they didn't.The wind was kinda of swirly, so I don't know if they winded me, or just decided to stay along the ridge line base..gave up after an hour waiting.
