Male Hooded Merganser I

Only took 2 hours waiting by a freezing river, before this one swam past. they are real easy to spook, but I was hidden in a bunch of bushes with camo on, so it had no clue I was there. this shot is the closest it came to me, before swimming on up river. It was neat watching it dive below the ice trying to catch a fish, which it eats, but this one was unsuccessful in all it's attempts,before rounding the river bend.
